The Defence Infrastructure Cost Centre provides support to projects that range in complexity and size with our service offerings spanning across Programme and Project Management, Project Planning, Cost Engineering, Risk Management, and Commercial Disciplines.
We provide support to the full project lifecycle both pre-contract and post contract, delivering infrastructure projects on behalf of our clients, that range from several hundred thousand pounds in value to major projects and programmes worth over 200M.We are actively looking to expand the team due to client requirements and have talented individuals join us who will support our Defence client portfolio, whilst further developing their career, working on a range of complex and challenging commissions.
Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Risk Practitioner with proven expertise in Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) to join our growing Defence North this role, you will support clients in the delivery of industry-leading project risk management services across a diverse portfolio of major programmes and projects within the Defence, Nuclear, Construction and Infrastructure sectors. Our projects span the North of the UK, including the Midlands, Cumbria, the North East and Scotland, with opportunities to support programmes across the wider UK.The
team is made up of over 40 people with our central office in Manchester; however, we have team members based all over the North of the UK such as Nottingham, Leeds, Barrow, and Glasgow.
Due to the complexity and scale of our projects, we are seeking risk professionals with demonstrable experience of working within project and programme delivery environments and a strong background in Quantitative Risk Analysis.
Successful candidates will have practical experience in the application of:
Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis (QCRA)
Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA)
Integrated Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis Risk modelling, uncertainty analysis and Monte Carlo simulation techniques
Development and maintenance of quantitative risk models using industry-standard tools (experience with Safran Risk and/or PRA is advantageous)
Experience with in the Defence, Nuclear, Infrastructure or Construction sectors is highly desirable.
A key aspect of this role is the opportunity to work alongside our clients on site, fostering strong partnerships and delivering successful outcomes through face-to-face collaboration. As such, regular UK travel and overnight stays should be anticipated.
Main Purpose of the role :
We are seeking an experienced Project Risk Practitioner with strong Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) expertise to support the delivery of major projects and programmes across the Defence, Nuclear, Infrastructure and Construction sectors.
As part of our Defence North Risk team, you will work closely with clients and project delivery teams to establish and maintain effective risk management processes, provide insightful risk analysis, and support informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
