An established and growing contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team on a major long-term contract based in Manchester.

This is an urgent requirement, and the successful candidate will be joining a busy and well-established project team delivering a high volume of planned and reactive works.

Working closely with operational and commercial teams, you will be responsible for the commercial management of works delivered under a Schedule of Rates framework.

This is a site-based position and would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor who is comfortable working within a fast-paced environment, managing multiple work streams and maintaining strong relationships with both site and client teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing costs across a high volume of planned and reactive works
• Pricing, valuation and management of works under Schedule of Rates contracts
• Reviewing and agreeing variations
• Producing cost reports and forecasts
• Managing subcontractor accounts
• Supporting operational teams with commercial guidance
  
  Preparing and negotiating final accounts
• Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Essential:
  Schedule of Rates (SOR/NSR) experience
• Experience with in construction, refurbishment, maintenance or building fabric projects
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
