Construction Manager/ Foreman
The Sprinkler Project Manager will be based in Manchester and is responsible for delivering fire sprinkler installations across the region. This full-time role carries a salary of £60,000 to £65,000, supplemented by a car allowance, 25 days of holiday, and a comprehensive package. The position involves managing projects from handover to completion, coordinating with clients, suppliers, and design teams, and maintaining programmes and cost forecasts.
Duties include overseeing labour, materials, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations, and conducting site inspections. The successful candidate will also handle project variations, final accounts, and commercial performance, requiring solid experience in fire systems installation and project delivery. Our client is a well-respected fire systems installer who are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to deliver fire sprinkler installation projects safely, on time, within budget, and in line with customer and regulatory requirements, based in and around the Manchester area.
- Manage projects from handover through to completion.
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, design teams, and site personnel.
- Develop and maintain project programmes and cost forecasts.
- Manage labour, materials, subcontractors, and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and industry standards.
- Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and support audits.
- Identify and manage project variations, final accounts, and commercial performance.
- Oversee project close-out including certification, O&M manuals, and as-fitted drawings.
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects.
- Knowledge of BS EN 12845 and LPS 1048 standards.
- LPCB Testing & Commissioning Module 2 and Site Inspection Module 1 (or equivalent competency).
- SMSTS and CSCS card holder.
- Strong understanding of CDM regulations and project management principles.
- Experience managing site-based labour and resources.
- Commercially aware with strong cost control skills.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic salary to £65,000
