Mechanical Engineer
An established construction and interior fit out business specialising in CAT A & B fit out projects is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their growing team.
The business delivers projects for a range of commercial clients, with projects primarily across the Northwest and West Yorkshire. Projects range from £500k to £15m.
You will take responsibility for the mechanical element of major commercial fit outs across multiple projects and work closely with the wider operational, design and commercial teams.
The business has a practical and collaborative approach, with Mechanical Project Managers trusted to take ownership of their packages and work closely with both internal engineers and external subcontractors depending on the requirements of each project.
The RoleAs Mechanical Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the planning, coordination and delivery of the mechanical element across multiple CAT A & B fit out projects.
Responsibilities- Managing the full mechanical package across multiple live fit out projects
- Planning and coordinating mechanical works from design development through to completion
- Managing internal engineers and external mechanical subcontractors
- Producing and managing project programmes using Microsoft Project
- Coordinating mechanical services with other building elements and resolving clashes
- Managing procurement and subcontractor orders
- Monitoring project progress, costs and variations
- Attending project progress meetings and working closely with the wider project team
- Managing commissioning, snagging and handover of mechanical works
- Ensuring mechanical works are delivered safely to programme and to the required standard
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, ideally within commercial or industrial projects
- Mechanical Engineer by trade or degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong understanding of mechanical installation, coordination and commissioning
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- CSCS card, SMSTS, Full UK driving licence
