A leading Tier 1 construction contractor is seeking an
experienced M&E Manager / Building Services Manager to join its
growing team in Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile,
technically complex construction projects across the North West,
taking responsibility for the delivery and coordination of
mechanical and electrical building services from pre-construction
through to commissioning and handover.
The Role
Working closely with the Project Director, Construction Manager
and wider project team, you will take responsibility for the
successful delivery of all M&E and building services elements
across major construction schemes.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing the design, coordination and delivery of mechanical
and electrical services.
* Reviewing technical designs, specifications and installation
proposals.
* Coordinating M&E subcontractors and specialist supply chain
partners.
* Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within
budget and to the required quality standards.
* Driving procurement, programme and commissioning activities.
* Working closely with design, commercial and construction teams
throughout the project lifecycle.
* Identifying and resolving technical and coordination
challenges.
* Managing quality assurance, testing, commissioning and final
handover.
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards
and project requirements.
* Supporting the successful delivery of complex, high-value
construction projects.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:
* Previous experience as an M&E Manager, Building Services
Manager or similar within a main contracting environment.
* Strong technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical and
building services systems.
* Experience delivering complex commercial, residential,
mixed-use, healthcare, education or other major construction
projects.
* Excellent coordination, planning and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* A proactive and collaborative approach to project delivery.
