Bennett & Game are currently representing an ambitious, multidisciplinary building consultancy that is looking to appoint a Building Surveyor to join its growing Manchester team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established business that is continuing to expand and offers a varied range of Building Surveying work alongside genuine opportunities for professional development.
The business is looking for an Intermediate-level Building Surveyor who can come into the team with a solid grounding in consultancy Building Surveying and contribute from day one. The ideal candidate will have around two to three years' post-graduate experience, although the business is open to the right person with slightly more or less experience. Personality and cultural fit are particularly important, with the team looking for someone proactive, personable and keen to develop their career within the business.

Building Surveyor Job Overview:
The successful Building Surveyor will join the Manchester team in a project-focused consultancy role, working across a varied portfolio of Building Surveying instructions. You will be expected to have a good understanding of the fundamentals of Building Surveying and be capable of taking responsibility for your own work, whilst receiving support and guidance from the senior team.
This role would suit an Intermediate Building Surveyor with around two to three years' experience who is looking to progress their career, develop their technical and professional skills and work towards chartership. The business is very supportive of APC progression and is happy to invest in the right person.
The role will include:
Providing Building Surveying services across a varied client portfolio
Undertaking building surveys, inspections and site visits
Preparing professional reports and technical advice
Assisting with specifications and schedules of work
Supporting project delivery from inception through to completion
Assisting with contract administration
Identifying defects and providing appropriate technical advice
Liaising with clients, contractors and other professional consultants
Attending meetings and site inspections
Managing own workload and project responsibilities
Working alongside experienced Chartered Building Surveyors
Contributing to the continued growth of the Manchester office
Building Surveyor
Job Requirements:
Around 2-3 years' post-graduate experience in Building Surveying
Previous consultancy experience
Good understanding of core Building Surveying principles
Project-focused experience is desirable
Experience with surveys, inspections, reporting and project work
Good communication and client-facing skills
A proactive and personable approach
Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline
APC candidates encouraged to apply
MRICS is desirable but not essential
Full UK Driving Licence preferred
