Mechanical Project/Site Manager
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project/Site Manager to deliver full HVAC installations on a prestigious £26 million refurbishment project located in Manchester city centre. This contract role involves working on a listed building, requiring a strong mechanical background and the ability to manage teams of supervisors effectively.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager and be responsible for overseeing all mechanical site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, health and safety standards, and timely delivery. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile refurbishment. You should be able to demonstrate leadership and technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills- Proven mechanical background (mandatory)
- Full HVAC management experience (mandatory)
- Team management and leadership of supervisors (mandatory)
- Experience working on listed or heritage buildings
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Health and safety compliance knowledge
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project)
- Project management software (e.g. Asta Power project, MS Project)
- Relevant mechanical or engineering qualifications
- Health and Safety certifications (e.g. CSCS, SMSTS)
- HVAC industry standards and best practices
