Game Writer – Indie Project

This is an opportunity for a creative Game Writer to craft the narrative for a unique, short-form interactive experience. The project is a 20-minute game set in a gallery, where players engage in one-on-one conversations with robots, each with distinct personalities and perspectives. The tone is quiet and slightly uneasy, focusing on dialogue and atmosphere rather than action. The story explores themes of autonomy, labor, obedience versus identity, and nonviolent rebellion, offering a reflective and thought‐provoking experience.

This is a personal, non-commercial project ideal for writers passionate about interactive storytelling and character-driven narratives.

• Develop engaging dialogue for a cast of robots, each with a unique voice and personality (e.g., obedient but tired, angry, logical, emotional, quiet, or organizing a strike).
• Create a cohesive narrative structure that guides the player through the gallery experience.
• Collaborate with the developer to ensure the story aligns with the intended themes and tone.
• Write concise, impactful lines that convey character depth and support the game's atmosphere.
• Revise and refine scripts based on feedback to achieve the desired emotional impact.

• Demonstrated experience in creative writing, scriptwriting, or narrative design (portfolio or writing samples required).
• Strong ability to write natural, character-driven dialogue.
• Interest in exploring philosophical and social themes through interactive media.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with the developer.
• Familiarity with narrative-driven games or interactive fiction is a plus.
• Availability to deliver the script within a mutually agreed timeline.
• No specific location requirements; remote collaboration is welcome.
