We are looking to hire an experienced Senior Designer with a clear understanding of the boohoo

MAN customer base and support the commercial targets of the brand. Being part of the boohoo

MAN design team requires a positive personality and drive to seek out and take on any task no matter how big or small. This role will be based out of our Ancoats, Manchester office.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

As a Senior Designer at boohoo

MAN, you will play a key role in driving the brand forward through innovative, trend‑led design and strong commercial awareness. You will lead by example, supporting and motivating junior designers while collaborating closely with senior stakeholders across Design, Buying, Product Development, and QA. You will manage the design process from concept to delivery across multiple product categories, ensuring collections remain fresh, commercially relevant, and aligned with the boohoo

MAN brand and customer.

  • Lead the design and development of trend‑led, commercially viable products across multiple categories.
  • Manage projects and design timelines from concept through to final delivery.
  • Support, mentor, and motivate junior designers, fostering creativity and high performance.
  • Collaborate closely with Buying, Product Development, and QA teams to build strong assortments and successful collections.
  • Review and refine design work before submission for final sign‑off.
  • Monitor sales and market trends to identify opportunities, drive product “move‑ons,” and establish best sellers.
  • Conduct seasonal trend research including colour, shapes, graphics, catwalks, and street style.
  • Prepare and deliver clear and compelling design presentations.
  • Lead sample fittings with Buying and QC teams to ensure product quality and fit.
  • Source fabrics and trims, collate sourcing packs, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Participate in and lead design meetings, brainstorms, and creative reviews.
  • Ensure all designs reflect the boohoo

    MAN brand aesthetic and customer needs.
  • Support recruitment activities where required.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR YOUR SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  • Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop skills.
  • Strong team player and inspiring communicator.
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced and creative environment.
  • Flexibility to travel.
  • Confidence in garment design and construction.
  • Excellent eye for detail.
  • Understanding of technical fabric qualities, detail and colour.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Team player – has a sense of humour.
  • An experienced mentor, to manage and develop junior team members.
