Working closely with the Line Producer, you'll play a central role in the smooth delivery of the show, leading on budgets, contracting, compliance, studio operations, recruitment, and team management.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of a high profile live programme, bringing ambitious editorial ideas to life for audiences across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on sections of Studio budget, forecasting and cost reporting to Line Producer, working closely with editorial teams to ensure editorial ambition works within budget
  • Manage contracting, bookings and rate negotiations for crew, contributors and on screen talent.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding and day-to-day management of production staff, freelancers and placements, alongside a line producer
  • Ensure compliance with BBC policies, legal and regulatory requirements, including copyright, rights clearance and health & safety procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, agents and key stakeholders.
  • Support a positive, inclusive and collaborative team culture, helping a team of Studio Production Management to develop and thrive.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of a fast-paced daily live programme.
What We're Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of end to end production processes.
  • Experience managing budgets and production finances.
  • Experience with financial systems (such as Smartbook and Ecat), or the ability to learn new systems quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of music, copyright clearance and fair dealing.
  • Proven experience leading, supporting and developing production teams.
  • Studio production experience is essential.
  • Live broadcast experience is desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to remain calm, solutions focused and collaborative in a busy production environment.
