The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience working specifically within men's knitwear, with a strong understanding of commercial design, garment construction and the technical aspects of knitwear development.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and commercially minded designer to develop seasonal collections across several of our in-house brands, as well as working closely with UK and global contract customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop seasonal stock collections across several in-house brands.
  • Work from customer briefs to create and present relevant collections that meet their style, colour and commercial direction across both UK and global contract customers.
  • Create accurate technical packs for initial sample development, including colourway options and amendments through to production.
  • Create profiles for ordered styles on our PLMS database to enable orders to be raised by the Merchandise team.
  • Liaise closely with our China and Bangladesh offices and work collaboratively with Senior Management, Sales, Garment Technologists and Merchandisers.
  • Monitor market and high-street trends, translating them into commercially relevant knitwear collections.
  • Support the wider design and product development process as required.

  • Strong creative design skills and an excellent understanding of garment construction.
  • Excellent Adobe Illustrator/CAD skills.
  • Strong communication skills and proven experience working with global suppliers.
  • Sound technical knowledge of stitch techniques, knitting times, yarn counts and gauges.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with a good eye for interpreting and adapting high-street trends, colour and key seasonal directions.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
  • A current CV and portfolio demonstrating relevant men's knitwear experience.
