About the roleWe’re looking for enthusiastic, welcoming and proactive Volunteer Event & Community Ambassadors to support our weekly Thursday Gatherings in Manchester at the SISTER - Renold Building (M1 7JR
).
As an Ambassador, you’ll be at the heart of the experience, helping people feel seen, connected and inspired from the moment they walk through the door.
What Ambassadors doYou’ll get a chance to supercharge the Thursday Gathering experience in ways that suit you, such as:
- Welcoming Guests – be the friendly face of Venture Café, supporting check‑in and helping attendees navigate the space.
- Sparking Connections – start conversations, introduce people and help build meaningful relationships across the community.
- Supporting Event Delivery – assist with setup, logistics and ensuring sessions run smoothly.
- Championing the Community – represent Venture Café’s mission both in‑person and online, helping grow our network.
- Amplifying the Experience – share moments, insights and energy from events through social media.
- A positive, open and welcoming attitude
- Strong communication and people skills
- Adaptability, problem‑solving skills, and a willingness to get stuck in
- An interest in innovation, startups, or community building
- Confidence working in a dynamic, fast‑paced events environment
(Must be 18+ and comfortable communicating in English)
