About the Opportunity:
As a Community Associate, you'll be the primary point of contact for the community and act as the "face" of WeWork. You will report to your building each day to support the Community Management team. Your work will include but not be limited to the duties listed below, and will help WeWork achieve the following: build a welcoming and collaborative community environment, ensure the building is fully operational, drive growth and promotion of WeWork-provided services, and support the Community Team as required.
- Front Desk Management
- Cover the front desk during business hours and serve as the on-site point of contact.
- Greet members and guests warmly, enforce guest policy, and ensure proper sign‑in via Welkio tablet.
- Learn member and guest names to build relationships and anticipate needs.
- Keep forms up to date (pet forms, filming requests, bike room requests, etc.).
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk, notify members of deliveries and couriers.
- Answer member and guest questions about building policies, procedures, and etiquette.
- Events and Membership Engagement
- Provide feedback on programming types and evaluate events based on attendance and satisfaction.
- Celebrate members’ successes with gifts and notes.
- Distribute event information, including creation and posting of weekly and individual event posters.
- Ensure building operations (elevators, HVAC) meet event requirements.
- Input member notes into Kube or equivalent system.
- Connect members with each other and recommend local services (restaurants, delivery, catering, etc.).
- Engage members on the WeWork member network and communicate building updates.
- Manage music levels and activations for appropriate occasions.
- Building Operations and Management
- Process mail, issue posts via the regional system, and maintain a clean mailroom.
- Handle postcard distribution, return undeliverable mail, and manage courier parcels.
- Resolve lost packages and keep track of keys and keycards.
- Manage keycard stock and request new inventory as needed.
- Store and distribute keys upon move‑out.
- Review emergency equipment and provide support for the automated coffee machine.
- College graduate with a four‑year degree preferred, but not required.
- 1+ years of hospitality experience.
- Customer service and/or sales experience a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and multitasking skills.
- Demonstrated integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self‑awareness, work ethic, and compassion.
- Passion for entrepreneurial communities and an understanding of WeWork’s mission and values.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
