Search Consultancy are currently recruiting 6 Passenger Assistant Staff to join a busy rail operation at Manchester Victoria Train Station on a temporary basis for an initial 6-month assignment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates from hospitality, fast food, retail, customer service, events or transport backgrounds who are confident dealing with members of the public and can remain professional in challenging situations.
The RoleYou will be based on station platforms, assisting passengers and providing excellent customer service during significant timetable and platform changes, including the closure of Platform 5 at Manchester Victoria.
Duties will include:Assisting passengers with travel queries and providing station information
Supporting customers during service disruptions and timetable changes
Providing Passenger Assist support for customers with disabilities or additional needs
Assisting passengers with luggage and mobility equipment
Deploying and lifting access ramps (up to 22kg)
Maintaining a visible presence on station platforms
Working closely with station teams to ensure passenger safety
Delivering exceptional customer service at all times
What We're Looking ForResilient and able to remain calm under pressure
Able to work outdoors on station platforms during all weather conditions
Physically capable of lifting and carrying ramps weighing up to 22kg
Reliable, professional and safety conscious
7-hour shifts
£14.00 per hour
