Salary : £60,000

£70,000 per annum + car allowance + benefits (depending on experience)

We are working in partnership with a well-established and growing construction and development management business to recruit an experienced Design Manager.

Our client is a privately owned company operating across residential and mixed-use developments, with a strong reputation for delivering well-coordinated, high-quality projects. They are known for their collaborative approach, strong relationships with consultants and subcontractors, and their ability to take projects from early design stages through to successful on-site delivery. As Design Manager, you will take responsibility for managing the design process from pre‑construction through to completion, ensuring all design information is coordinated, compliant, and aligned with the construction programme.

• Managing the design process across all project stages
• Coordinating consultants, architects, and specialist designers
• Reviewing and managing design information, drawings, and specifications
• Ensuring design compliance with building regulations and employer's requirements
• Working closely with construction, commercial, and client teams
• Identifying and resolving design risks and buildability issues
• Supporting value engineering and design development exercises

• Proven experience in a Design Manager or Senior Design Coordinator role
• Background working on residential or mixed‑use developments
• Strong understanding of design management and construction processes
• Experience coordinating external consultants and design teams
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Relevant construction or design qualifications preferred

• Competitive salary of £60,000
