ABOUT

THE ROLE
We’re partnering with a well-established and growing consumer products business to recruit a creative and commercially aware Designer to join their Product Development team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across homeware, seasonal, gifting, and licensed product ranges, developing everything from product concepts and packaging through to branding, display, and presentation materials.
Working closely with the Brand Development team, you’ll be involved throughout the full design lifecycle — from initial trend research and mood boarding through to final product delivery. The role offers real variety, creative ownership, and the opportunity to contribute to both retailer-exclusive and licensed ranges in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing packaging, product graphics, branding, and display concepts

• Creating mood boards and trend-led concepts for new ranges

• Presenting ideas and concepts internally at senior level

• Collaborating with suppliers, factories, and internal teams

• Conducting market and competitor research

• Supporting licensed product approvals and retailer briefs

• Ensuring projects are delivered on time and in line with commercial targets
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
We’re looking for someone who combines creativity with strong commercial awareness and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
You will ideally have:

• A degree in Design or relevant commercial design experience

• Experience in packaging, product, surface, or brand design

• Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

• A passion for gifting, homeware, packaging, and consumer trends

• A proactive, hands-on attitude and willingness to get involved across the wider team
Experience working with licensed products or retailer-led ranges would be highly advantageous.

SALARY
Circa £30,000 - 40,000 - but can be flexible depending on experience; top end would be Senior Designer
