Menswear Designer

Overview

Manire De Voir seeks a creative, talented Menswear Designer with the ability to demonstrate a keen sense of taste and aesthetic judgment to join the head office team in Manchester. The role involves designing authentic pieces from research and concept presentations through to the final product, and collaborating with the CEO to enhance details, fabrication, and construction of timeless silhouettes and co-ords.

• Create technical drawings and specifications for production.
• Manage sourcing requests to suppliers (fabric and trim).
• Organise the fabric and trim library.
• Partner with Production and Product Development on supplier allocation, costing obstacles, and quality adherence.
• Attend weekly fit sessions and provide input on design details; assist garment technologists with CADs as needed based on fit comments.
• Prepare monthly release CAD boards for display.
• Prepare design and sign-off meeting note packs.
• Undertake and compile competitor shop reports and seasonal/monthly trend reports.
• Conduct inspiration research to inform design directions.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Confident using Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Completed Fashion Design qualification (degree level).
• Experience working for/with high-end tasteful retailers.
• Exceptional levels of taste and aesthetic judgment.
• Highly organised with good time management skills.
• Willingness and flexibility to adapt ways of working to meet brand requirements and deadlines.
