Part II Architectural Assistant
Location:
Sale, Greater Manchester
Salary: £28,000‑£32,000 (DOE)
An award‑winning residential developer based in Sale seeks a talented PartII Architectural Assistant to join a close‑knit architectural team of about ten professionals. The role offers exposure to planning, heritage and bespoke design across a wide variety of residential projects, including listed building conversions, bespoke new‑build homes and heritage‑led regeneration projects.
Responsibilities- Assist in developing concept designs, feasibility studies and planning proposals across a range of residential developments.
- Produce planning drawings including plans, elevations and sections for planning submissions.
- Prepare supporting planning documentation such as Design & Access Statements, presentation material and visualisations.
- Contribute to projects across RIBA Stages0‑4, supporting the progression from concept through to planning approval.
- Coordinate with internal Technical, Commercial, Sales and Construction teams throughout the design process.
- Undertake site surveys and regular site visits.
- Attend meetings with local authorities, consultants and senior stakeholders.
- Support public consultation events and assist in presenting proposed developments.
- Maintain organised project documentation and drawing records.
- RIBA PartII qualification (Barch & March).
- Good knowledge of either AutoCAD or Revit.
- Strong design and presentation skills supported by a high‑quality portfolio.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Previous experience working on residential projects is beneficial.
- Experience with listed buildings or heritage projects is also advantageous.
- Full UK Driving Licence and own transport preferred due to site visits.
- Salary: £28,000‑£32,000 (DOE).
