As such, they are now seeking a skilled AutoCAD Technician to join their Drawing Office team.
You will play a key role in preparing accurate technical drawings and supporting the production of bespoke steel building components for a wide range of commercial projects. You will communicate effectively with internal teams (and occasionally with clients as and when required) and work closely with the design and production teams to interpret project requirements and your key responsibilities will include producing and updating 2D AutoCAD drawings to a high standard, assist with technical documentation and design revisions and to support other drafting tasks as required to help deliver projects on time and to specification.
To be shortlisted for this role you will need proven experience and be fully conversant with AutoCAD 2D along with a good working knowledge of Word and Excel. Experience with AutoCAD Inventor or Solid Works is advantageous but not essential and a background in the sheet metal industry would also be beneficial as would experience with Lantek or Radan Punch/Laser programming however these are not essential as full training will be provided.
Strong communication skills are a must with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and colleagues.
