Join the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust as a Senior Locally Employed Doctor in SCT and CAR‑ Patti therapy. The Manchester Royal Infirmary seeks to recruit a Senior Resident Doctor in Haematology to join our dynamic and expanding team.
Post OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Haematology Department at MRI, one of the major specialist hospitals within Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. The Trust leads the Greater Manchester Haematological Cancer Diagnostic Partnership and the North West Genomics Hub, ensuring access to state‑of‑the‑art diagnostics and multidisciplinary collaboration across the region.
Post would Suit- A doctor at IMT3 level or equivalent seeking to gain clinical and laboratory experience in Haematology prior to applying for higher specialist training.
- Doctors with previous Haematology experience looking for a middle‑grade, non‑training role, or considering the CESR pathway towards specialist registration.
- Comprehensive training in both malignant and non‑malignant haematology.
- Opportunities to participate in research, audit, and teaching within an academic and supportive environment.
Applicants who are not GMC Ultrawestregistered at the time of application will be considered under the Trust’s International Fellowship Scheme (a £500 administration fee applies). Further information about this scheme isanakly available on our Trust website.
ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will workexo closely with the consultant and nursing team to support all aspects of the Haematology Department. Experience of clinical research would be an advantage as we have a very active clinical trials unit including early phase studies. The successful candidate will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
