Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust – MFT Wythenshawe Thoracic Oncology unit – invites Post CCT or senior trainees to join our expanding team. The role offers the opportunity to hone interventional bronchoscopy, pleural disease and lung cancer screening skills.
Successful applicants will work within the Thoracic Oncology department alongside five fellows, gaining experience in rapid cancer clinics and procedures including linear EBUS, AFI bronchoscopy, radial probe EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy and, soon, robotic bronchoscopy. Pleural procedures such as local anaesthetic thoracoscopy, indwelling pleural catheter insertion, chest drains and ambulatory pleural vents will also be performed.
The post holder will work in rapid HSC clinics, pleural clinics, and support specialist ward referrals. Research projects and conference presentations will be encouraged, fostering a portfolio for a future Consultant post focused on Pleural Disease/Intervention/Lung Cancer.
