Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Neonatologist to join our neonatal team in NICU at St Mary’s Hospital for a 6-month fixed term locum. The post-holder will be based exclusively in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit on the Oxford Road Campus, where we have a strong track record of innovation and multidisciplinary team working, ensuring a high quality of care for our patients and their families.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in the largest neonatal service in England, catering for neonatal medical and surgical infants with a wide range of pathology. Our 69-cot unit is well-equipped with state-of-the-art amenities including integrated clinical monitoring and information systems. There are strong links between MFT and the University of Manchester, and an ethos of clinical excellence and research ensuring candidates have no shortage of option for career development and expanding their portfolio.
Applicants will either need to be on the GMC Specialist Register or be eligible for CCT (or equivalent) within six months of interview. Skills in supervising trainees, teaching junior medical staff, leading a team and communicating with multidisciplinary colleagues are vital.
