Job overviewThis is a one-year fellowship post based in the Cardiothoracic Transplant Unit at Wythenshawe Hospital. The centre is one of the 5 UK adult cardiothoracic transplant centres, specialising in heart and lung transplantation, ECMO and ventricular assist devices. The role is designed to provide advanced experience in cardiothoracic transplant, intensive care medicine, ECMO and mechanical circulatory support, respiratory medicine and cardiology.
The appointee will work within a large multidisciplinary team specialising in the assessment and management of cardiothoracic transplant patients, and patients with end stage respiratory and cardiac disease, working alongside cardiothoracic transplant surgeons, intensivists and other specialist teams.
The fellow will provide both in-patient and out-patient care, with additional opportunities to gain procedural competencies. Please see the job description for further details of this posts duties.
