Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced HLTA to join a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Manchester. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for an HLTA who is passionate about supporting pupils with a wide range of special educational needs, including complex needs, learning difficulties, and mental health needs. The successful HLTA will work across both primary and secondary age groups within a nurturing specialist setting.

As an HLTA, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support, leading small groups, providing targeted interventions, and working closely with teachers and support staff to ensure every pupil receives the personalised care they need. The school is looking for an HLTA who is proactive, confident, compassionate, and able to adapt to a variety of needs and learning styles.

HLTA
- Key Responsibilities:

* Lead small groups and deliver planned interventions as an HLTA

* Support pupils with complex needs, SEND, and SEMH challenges

* Assist teachers across primary and secondary classes

* Provide 1:1 support when required as an HLTA

* Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and pupil wellbeing

* Prepare learning materials and adapt resources as an HLTA

* Contribute to EHCP targets, assessments, and progress monitoring

* Work collaboratively with staff, families, and external agencies

* Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment

* Uphold safeguarding and follow school policies as a dedicated HLTA

HLTA - Requirements:

* Previous experience working as an HLTA or in a senior support role

* Strong understanding of SEND, SEMH, and complex needs

* Ability to lead learning and support pupils across a wide age range

* Confident, calm, patient, and resilient

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* Ability to adapt strategies and approaches as an HLTA

* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
