Location: M11, Openshaw, Manchester
Pay Range: £13.23 to £14.74 per hour (£92 to £103 per day)
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM (30-minute lunch break)
Reeson Education has a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join a thriving primary school in the M11 area of Manchester. This Teaching Assistant role is available immediately and is a full-time, long-term position with the opportunity to transition onto a school contract.
This is an exceptional school with an outstanding leadership team and well-equipped classrooms. The school is seeking a Teaching Assistant with experience working with SEND and SEMH pupils to support EYFS and KS1-aged children in specialist classes within the school.
About the Teaching Assistant Role:
- This Teaching Assistant role involves supporting pupils with SEMH and SEND needs in specialist classes within EYFS and KS1.
- You will provide one-to-one and small group support, helping children engage with learning and develop essential skills.
- Work alongside a dedicated SEND team and class teacher to provide a nurturing and structured learning environment.
- The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break.
The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:
- Have experience working with children with SEND and SEMH needs, either in a school or similar setting.
- Be confident supporting early years and KS1 pupils, with a patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
- Have experience using positive behaviour strategies to support pupils with SEMH challenges.
- Hold a relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Be able to provide two work/education-based references, including one from your most recent role.
- Have strong communication skills and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young learners.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- You will go through our quick and simple vetting process, with 24/7 consultant support.
- A clear Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Two professional references covering the last three years.
- Experience working with SEMH and SEND pupils in a school or alternative setting.
