Responsibilities- Create lessons that last: tailor a learning approach, use our smart learning tool – Compass – to empower members, [overcome challenges] and help them progress.
- Build lasting relationships: lead small‑group sessions with a 16:1 ratio to establish strong connections with each learner.
- Create change: support members through the national curriculum, exam preparation and GCSE content, striving for meaningful progress and celebrating achievements with them.
- Make a real difference – leave every shift knowing your work has had a tangible impact.
- Focus on what matters – we provide ready‑made lessons and resources, freeing you to concentrate on tutoring.
- Inspiring environment – structured learning opportunities, development resources and a close team of passionate educators.
- Location – Didsbury centre.
- Age suitability – tutor children 4‑16 across the national curriculum, 11‑plus entrance exam and GCSE content.
- Commitment – contracted to work at least 6 hours a week over two different days; start times between 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on weekdays.
- Physical requirement – you must be able to get to the centre you are applying to.
- Long‑term commitment – we seek those ready for continuity and stability with the children.
- Under 18: £8.00 per hour
- 18‑20: £10.05 per hour
- 21+: £12.25 per hour
- +£0.50 per hour if working at a centre inside the M25.
- All training and inductions are paid.
- 50% off Explore Learning membership fees for immediate relatives of staff.
- Referral bonus: £50 for each referred tutor, £500 for each referred supervisor/manager.

- Achieved grade 5 or above in Maths & English GCSE (or equivalent). Predicted grades accepted if results within next 3 months.
- Age 16 or over and right to work in the UK.
We hire on a first‑come, first‑served basis and reserve the right to close this vacancy once a suitable candidate is hired.
All successful applicants will undertake employment reference checks and a Disclosure & Barring Service (or PVG) check. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and associated amendments.
