William Hulme’s Grammar School (WHGS) is an all-through school and one of the most over-subscribed schools in Manchester. Thank you very much for your interest in applying to be a Teacher of Religious Studies in the Secondary Phase at William Hulme’s Grammar School (WHGS).
We have an opportunity to join the Religious Studies Department, part of the Humanities faculty. This will be a fixed term contract commencing in February 2026 with the possibility of teaching GCSE and A level for the right candidate. In the faculty there are twelve teachers (four Geography specialists, four Religious Studies specialists, and four History Specialists) teaching both their specialism and some cross curricular.
Religious Studies is a hugely popular subject especially proposed working days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
