Year 1 Primary Teacher - M11

Aspire People are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-led primary school in the M11 area of Manchester to recruit a dedicated Year 1 Teacher for a long-term position. This school has a strong focus on early learning, pupil wellbeing, and smooth transition from EYFS into KS1.

As the Year 1 Teacher, you will take full responsibility for a settled class and play a key role in supporting pupils as they develop key phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy skills.

• Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Supporting pupils transitioning from EYFS into more structured learning
• Delivering high-quality phonics sessions
• Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
• Working closely with KS1 colleagues and experienced teaching assistants
• Maintaining clear behaviour expectations using the school's positive behaviour policy

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1
• Confident delivering phonics and early literacy
• Strong classroom management skills
• Passionate about early education and pupil development
• ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply
