Position: Teaching Assistant Level 3 (SEND)

About The Role

Contract Type:
Fixed term until 31/08/2026

Working Hours:
Full Time, 32.5 hours per week

Qualifications

Required:

NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience

Start Date: as soon as pre employment checks have cleared.

Salary: £26,403 per annum pro rata (£20,603 pre deductions for tax, NI and pension)

  • Can deliver high quality teaching and learning.
  • Has a good understanding of the curriculum and assessment.
  • Can deliver specific support to raise the attainment of under‑performing children and groups.
  • Can confidently cover a whole class on an occasional, short‑term basis.
  • Can enthuse, motivate and engage children in all areas of learning.
  • Is committed to high standards and able to assist in planning, preparation and delivery of lessons.
  • Can work independently to deliver, monitor and evaluate the success of interventions.
  • Can keep detailed notes on progress and attainment.
  • Is able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Has excellent communication skills and is committed to building positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
  • Will be willing to contribute to the broader life of the school community.
