SEN Teacher
Location:

Contract:
Full-time, part-time and temporary opportunities available
Start date:
Flexible (ASAP or Easter)
Salary: £140 - £200 per day (depending on qualifications and experience)

Premier Education is recruiting on behalf of a number of inclusive schools and specialist provisions across Manchester. We are seeking dedicated SEN Teachers who are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs.
SEN Teacher - the schools:
We are working with a range of primary, secondary and specialist settings across Manchester, including multi-academy trusts and standalone SEN provisions.
These schools:
Champion inclusive education and celebrate diversity
Support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, PMLD and physical disabilities
Provide nurturing, structured and well-resourced learning environments
Have strong, supportive Senior Leadership Teams
Work with multi-disciplinary teams including SENCOs, therapists and support staff
Many settings offer sensory-friendly classrooms, specialist facilities and tailored curriculums designed to support both academic progress and personal development. The focus is not only on attainment, but also on confidence, independence and life skills.
SEN Teacher - responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' individual needs and EHCP targets
Work closely with SENCOs and support staff to develop and implement personalised learning plans
Provide small group and 1:1 interventions where required
Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
Promote positive behaviour management strategies
Support students' social, emotional and personal development
Liaise effectively with parents, carers and external professionals
SEN Teacher: requirements:
UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Experience working with pupils with SEN (in mainstream or specialist settings)
Strong understanding of adaptive teaching and inclusive practice
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, resilient and compassionate approach
Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
Desirable:
Specialism in ASD, SEMH, ADHD or Speech & Language needs
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Strong understanding of safeguarding in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)
Flexibility to work within primary or secondary settings (desirable)
