Overview
As an EFL teacher, your primary responsibility is to provide excellent English language instruction. With the support of the Director of Studies, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and contribute to creating a secure and positive atmosphere that fosters learning and enjoyment. Band 1 teachers teach on the English Foundation Pathway covering CEFR levels A1 – C1 with a curriculum designed for our students.
Mainresponsibilities
- Deliver a meaningful, dynamic, interactive language programme that is responsive to students' needs, ensuring lessons are engaging, relevant, and enjoyable.
- Teach across CEFR levels A1 to C1, including skills development, functional language, and collaborative projects.
- Participate in a structured learning review activity (Exsportise Language Cup) and maintain accurate lesson plans, class profiles, registers, and weekly work logs.
- Manage classroom safety, welfare, and behaviour during the EFL programme, ensuring students are never left unattended.
- Attend regular CPD sessions to keep teaching skills current and uphold teacher standards promoting quality and professional accountability.
- Liaise with fellow teachers and the Director of Studies on planning and feedback; communicate clear learning objectives at the start of each lesson and review progress against those objectives.
- Maintain student notebooks with work, corrections, and self-reviews; create displays highlighting weekly achievements.
- Enforce a no-phone policy during the English programme (including break times), securely store devices, and encourage genuine student interaction.
- Attend daily staff meetings and follow Staff Handbook and Centre Manager/Director of Studies guidelines.
- Assist with camp setup and pack-down; carry out reasonable duties supporting smooth camp operations.
- Competitive pay: 28/06/2026 or 05/07/2026 for 3–6 weeks; £685 per week (including holiday pay).
