We are looking for a dedicated Youth Mentor to join our team in Salford, helping young people overcome challenges and achieve their potential. As a Youth Mentor, you will work with students facing social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges, providing one-to-one support to guide them through personal and academic development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one mentoring for students, offering emotional support and guidance.
- Help students develop essential life skills, build confidence, and improve social interactions.
- Work with young people to set personal goals and create action plans to achieve them.
- Support students with academic tasks, including English and Maths, where necessary.
- Act as a positive role model, building trust and helping students navigate challenges.
- Communicate with parents/carers and professionals to ensure a holistic approach to support.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with young people, preferably in a mentoring or support role.
- Experience supporting students with SEMH or other additional needs.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.
- Experience working in a similar role with young people who face academic or personal challenges.
- Qualification in Youth Work, Social Care, or a related field.
