English Teacher

Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons.

You will be responsible for planning lessons, evaluating student performance, and promoting a positive learning environment.

Our ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a deep understanding of the English Curriculum, and a passion for teaching.

• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials for English language/literature classes
• Teach students the full breadth of the English curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress
• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Communicate with parents or guardians about student performance and behaviour
• Participate in professional development activities and stay up-to-date with the latest teaching techniques
• Implement strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities

• Valid teaching certification
• Proven experience as an English teacher (ECTs welcome to apply)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of a variety of teaching methods and detailed subject knowledge
• Strong organisation, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with classroom technology and digital teaching resources
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or related field
• Patience and flexibility to accommodate students of different skill levels
