The Dean Trust is seeking to appoint a talented and inspirational Assistant Headteacher to join a successful senior leadership team at Ashton on Mersey School.

1 September 2026 - Position: ISR L12 L16 (Assistant Headteacher)
- Salary: £67,898 – £75,049 per annum
- Working Pattern:
Full Time, Monday-Friday - Permanent

It offers an ambitious co‑produced curriculum at Key Stages 3 and 4 leading to full A‑Level and vocational qualification offer at Key Stage 5. - Drive forward continual school improvement at Ashton on Mersey School.
- Lead and manage Key Stage 3.
- Lead pastoral teams, systems and processes.
- Safeguard pupils and staff.
- Research, develop and implement pedagogy.
- Develop and deliver curriculum.
- Establish positive and enriching relationships with colleagues, pupils and parents/carers.
- Significant leadership experience within a secondary school.
- Proven record of excellent examination results as a leader.
- Knowledge and understanding of current educational issues, particularly inclusion, and ability to respond strategically.
- Unwavering commitment to improving the life‑chances of young people.
- High expectations and aspirations for all colleagues and pupils.
