Early Years Teaching Assistant - Full Time
A welcoming and nurturing primary school in the Worsley area is seeking a committed Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years unit from 2nd March 2026.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm, with a daily rate of £102 per day.
About the RoleYou will be working within a supportive Early Years setting, assisting with the development, learning, and care of a small group of pupils. The role will involve a mixture of group support and some 1:1 support, helping children access activities, develop social skills, and build confidence in a structured and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support children within the Early Years unit during learning and play‑based activities
- Provide a mix of small group and 1:1 support where required
- Assist the class teacher with delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate activities
- Support communication, social interaction, and early learning development
- Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist with classroom preparation, organisation, and daily routines
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional development
- Experience working with children in an Early Years or primary setting
- A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Understanding of early childhood development
- Ability to support both small groups and individual pupils
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A reliable and committed attitude
