Job Description & How to Apply Below

As Sixth Form Administrator, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day‑to‑day running of our Sixth Form. You will provide high‑quality administrative and data management support, maintaining accurate records, managing communications, and ensuring the effective use of MIS systems such as SIMS. Your work will directly support key student processes— including admissions, interviews, enrolment and bursary administration—while contributing to a positive, well‑organised and student‑focused environment.

A significant part of the role involves leading on Sixth Form attendance administration: monitoring registers, carrying out absence communications, tracking at‑risk students, and producing accurate attendance data to support early intervention and improved student outcomes. You will also assist with wider Sixth Form operations, including minute‑taking, maintaining displays, supporting events, supervising students, and contributing to safeguarding, welfare and communication across the school community.

The role is varied and fast‑paced, requiring strong organisation, attention to detail and a proactive approach. Working closely with the Head of Sixth Form and the wider team, you will help ensure that processes are efficient, compliant with statutory requirements, and aligned with the values and ethos of the school.

You will be an experienced and highly organised administrator with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering excellent support for students, staff and families. Confident in using a range of IT systems— including Microsoft Office and MIS platforms—you will have the accuracy, initiative and problem‑solving ability needed to manage records, respond to queries, and maintain high standards of data and documentation.

You will bring sound judgement, discretion and professionalism, particularly when handling confidential or sensitive information. You take pride in being reliable, adaptable and proactive, able to manage competing demands and plan your workload effectively. A team‑player with a positive attitude, you are committed to safeguarding, equality, and the school's ethos, and you respond with tact and diplomacy when working with students, parents, carers and colleagues.

A willingness to support wider school activities, undertake training (including First Aid), and continuously develop your own practice completes the profile of the successful candidate. We are committed to safeguarding, child protection and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
