SEN Learning Support Assistant - Gorton, Manchester

Full Time | 8:30am - 3:30pm

£102 - £115 per day

Overview

A supportive and inclusive school in Gorton is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping pupils thrive both academically and socially within the classroom environment.

Responsibilities
  • Providing tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN needs
  • Supporting children on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, communication, and social skills
  • Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
  • Creating a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Patient, caring, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing
  • Relevant TA qualification or school-based experience desirable
