A specialist SEMH school in South Manchester is seeking a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their support team. Join a forward-thinking and dynamic school and become a key player within an experienced support team as an SEMH Teaching Assistant.
Working as an SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant involves supporting pupils who face emotional, behavioural, and mental health challenges that can affect their learning. The role requires building positive relationships, promoting emotional well‑being, managing challenging behaviours, and helping children access the curriculum in a safe and supportive environment. Working closely with teachers, families, and external agencies, you will support children in line with their EHCP objectives, helping to remove barriers to learning and encourage both academic and personal development.
