About

The Role

The Education Coordinator will deliver a STEAM programme at Heaton Park, creating learning opportunities for visitors of all ages. The role involves educating visitors, generating income, and collaborating with local schools, community organisations and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver self‑led and guided STEAM educational sessions for school groups and community visitors.
  • Develop and secure funding and income‑generating opportunities for educational programmes.
  • Collaborate with Heaton Park staff, the wider Parks Service, charities, and community organisations to enhance the visitor experience.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and records for casual car usage, and other operational requirements.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a visitor‑facing educational role, delivering educational activities.
  • Experience developing and delivering STEAM programmes or activities.
  • Experience working in partnership with community organisations, charities or external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate income from educational activities.
  • Highly creative, adaptable and an excellent communicator.
