KS2 Teacher - Maternity Cover - Salford (M6)

Potential Permanent Opportunity | September 2026 Start

Choice Teachers are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established two-form entry primary school in the heart of Salford (M6) who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed KS2 Teacher to join their team for a maternity cover contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school with a strong leadership team and a positive learning environment. For the right candidate, there may be the opportunity to secure a permanent contract following the maternity cover period.

We can pay to your current teacher pay scale from your first day, at the school's discretion.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), ECT or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Be passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Have high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour.
  • Be committed to ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
  • Be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills.
  • Be enthusiastic about contributing to the wider life of the school.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
  • Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to raise standards and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and attainment.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, parents' evenings and other school events.
  • Complete end-of-year assessments and reports.
