SEN KS2 Teacher – SEN School
Burnage, Manchester | Paid to Scale | 8:00am - 4:00pm | Full Time | Long Term Ongoing | September Start - Until End of Academic Year
A specialist SEN school in Burnage is seeking a dedicated and experienced KS2 SEN Teacher to join their team from September on a full-time, long-term basis until the end of the academic year. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive SEN setting, helping pupils with additional needs achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
The Role- Teach a KS2 class within a specialist SEN school
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs
- Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
- Work closely with support staff, therapists and parents to support pupil progress
- Manage behaviour positively and effectively
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching pupils with SEN, ideally within a specialist setting
- Strong understanding of differentiated learning and EHCPs
- Patient, adaptable and nurturing approach
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
- Paid to scale
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
- Long-term ongoing role until the end of the academic year
