Teaching Assistant (M40 SEPT TA) Manchester, England
Salary: GBP 14.25 - 16.65 per hour + PAYE or Umbrella
Location: Manchester, M40
Start Date: September 2026
Pay: £14.25 - £16.65 per hour (PAYE or Umbrella)
Hours: 8:15am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (30-minute lunch)
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Reeson Education is recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a large, diverse, and welcoming primary school in the M40 area of Manchester from September 2026.
This full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role offers the opportunity to support pupils with a range of complex additional needs across the primary age range. The successful Teaching Assistant will be placed within the Key Stage that best matches their previous experience, strengths and skill set.

This Teaching Assistant position would suit someone who is patient, nurturing, adaptable and passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.
Teaching Assistant –Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with a range of complex SEND needs as a Teaching Assistant
- Provide 1:1, small group and classroom support as a Teaching Assistant
- Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs as a Teaching Assistant
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and support staff as a Teaching Assistant
- Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, social interaction and engagement
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and families
- Promote inclusion and independence throughout the school day
- Monitor progress and contribute to pupil support strategies
- Support pupils both within and outside of the classroom environment
- Uphold safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times as a Teaching Assistant
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant
, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker, Youth Worker or similar - Experience supporting children with SEND, complex needs, ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, sensory needs or learning difficulties
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Calm, patient and resilient approach
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team
- Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role starting September 2026
