Our SEN tutors play a crucial role in supporting students with complex Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

You will work with learners with needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), and those working below expected academic levels.

We understand that no two learners are the same.

This role offers flexible, part-time hours to suit your schedule, alongside the opportunity to make a genuine and lasting difference.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver tailored one-to-one Maths and English sessions to SEN learners.
  • Adapt lesson content, pace, and teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Support students in building subject knowledge, study skills, and confidence.
  • Develop a consistent, positive rapport to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to parents, carers, and professionals.
Essential Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year experience teaching or tutoring Maths or English.
  • Experience working with students with SEN in a 1:1 or small group setting.
  • Right to work in the UK. Must have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check.
Desirable Qualifications
  • PGCE in Secondary Education and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience supporting students with Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
Other Information
  • The successful candidate will be required to complete all safeguarding and compliance checks.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people is a key responsibility of this role.
