Position: CONSTRUCTION LEARNING COACH
Location: Wythenshawe

Construction Learning Coach – Wythenshawe, Manchester

Permanent full‑time role, Monday to Friday, up to £34,250 (car allowance). 34 days holiday, increased to 43 after five years. Supports include CPD, induction, IT kit, eye tests, long‑serve rewards, wellbeing initiatives, birthday off, and progression opportunities.

What you’ll do
  • Coach and inspire apprentices to develop the technical knowledge and skills needed for success in construction roles.
  • Manage and teach a caseload of Level 2 learners on Foundation Apprenticeship programmes.
  • Deliver engaging lessons on basic brickwork, plastering, carpentry and joinery skills to classes of approximately 10 students.
  • Mark assignments and apprenticeship tasks to ensure quality and progress.
  • Observe practice and provide constructive feedback to drive growth.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver the new Foundation Apprenticeship in on‑site trades to 16‑21 year olds.
  • Teach basic brick, carpentry and plastering skills to meet foundation apprenticeship knowledge, skills and behaviours.
  • Support apprentices at employers, helping them settle into their first job role.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Health & Safety regulations in line with building safety industry standards.
What we’re looking for
  • Experience in construction or related trades.
  • Up‑to‑date industry knowledge.
  • Previous teaching experience in multi‑skills / construction.
  • Hold (or be willing to work towards) a relevant teaching qualification.
  • A genuine passion for developing others and sharing knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and deliver high‑quality teaching / coaching.
  • Desirable:
    Coaching or assessor qualifications (TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/33); knowledge of government‑funded training and apprenticeship standards.
