Subject Lead - ILSC

Position

Subject Lead – ILSC (International Language School College), Manchester Metropolitan University International College. Part‑time, 5 hours per week.

• Oversee academic delivery of specific subject areas, including curriculum development, module management, assessment design, and quality assurance.
• Lead a team of tutors and coordinate with professional services staff to maintain high teaching and learning standards.
• Actively participate in teaching activities and foster continuous improvement and academic excellence.
• Support tutor development, facilitate communication among staff and students, and oversee assessments.
• Participate in review boards, contribute to programme review and reporting processes.

• Postgraduate qualification (minimum Master’s) in a relevant discipline; a Language Teaching Qualification (TOEFL, CELTA, DELTA, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Proven experience teaching English to international students with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to engage and collaborate with staff and students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
• Fluency in verbal and written English, demonstrating clear and professional communication.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and workloads effectively.
