About this jobThe Head of Teaching Ministry provides strategic leadership and oversight for all teaching functions within RCCG Hope Chapel. This includes Sunday School, Bible study, discipleship pathways, doctrinal training, teacher development, and curriculum creation. The role ensures that all teaching across the church is biblically sound, aligned with RCCG doctrine, and delivered with excellence. The Head of Teaching Ministry works closely with the Pastor‑in‑Charge to support the spiritual growth and maturity of the congregation.
Responsibilities- Ensure teaching materials and sessions align with RCCG doctrine and church vision.
- Oversee Sunday School, Bible study, discipleship classes and worker‑in‑training programmes.
- Review and approve teaching content, outlines, and curriculum.
- Teach or facilitate Bible study sessions when required.
- Support teachers with preparation, resources, and pastoral guidance.
- Organise seminars, webinars, workshops to equip and educate church members about effective evangelism.
- Develop and oversee discipleship programmes for new converts and church workers.
- Provide doctrinal counselling and spiritual guidance to members.
- Support the Pastor‑in‑Charge in shaping the church’s spiritual growth strategy.
- Organise monthly and quarterly prayer meetings to intercede for new converts.
- Assist with the coordination and communication of the Church’s Evangelism Day and other local outreaches.
- Provide regular updates to the Resident Pastor on progress and accomplishments of defined tasks and goals.
- Engage in prayer and fasting to build spiritual cover for the children church and promote young people's interests.
- Organise prayer meetings and evangelistic programmes for the parish.
- Support the Pastorate in conducting the Holy Communion service.
- Committed member of a Pentecostal church, preferably RCCG.
- Previous leadership experience.
- Experience with hymns, contemporary, western and African gospel music of different genres.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Providing religious education and teaching those seeking conversion to Christianity.
- Pastoral care, counselling and welfare support to children of the church.
- Initiative, self‑management and problem‑solving skills.
- High energy and positive attitude.
- Curious and eager to learn and grow.
Diploma in any Religious studies.
DBS clearance required for working with adults and children.
