Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a specialist primary provision in the Trafford area on a full-time basis starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and making a lasting impact on their education and wellbeing.
About the SettingThe provision supports pupils aged 4-11 years with a variety of Special Educational Needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
- Speech, language, and communication needs
The school offers a structured, nurturing environment where pupils are supported both academically and emotionally, with a strong emphasis on personalised learning and positive behaviour support.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Implement and review Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and multi-disciplinary teams
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Use effective strategies to manage behaviour and promote engagement
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
- A passionate, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and SEN strategies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Resilient, patient, and committed to achieving positive outcomes for pupils
