Greater Manchester

Salary: £56,000 - £66,000 per annum

Working hours:

Monday - Friday | 08:15 - 16:00

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and visionary Executive Headteacher to lead a group of specialist SEN provisions across Greater Manchester. This strategic leadership role will oversee multiple school sites supporting pupils aged 5-16 with a range of Special Educational Needs. Working alongside established Heads of School and senior leadership teams, you will drive educational excellence, operational consistency, safeguarding standards, and continuous school improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership across multiple SEN settings
  • Drive operational excellence and consistency across schools
  • Lead OFSTED readiness and school improvement initiatives
  • Ensure high-quality teaching, learning and curriculum delivery
  • Champion safeguarding, attendance, behaviour and wellbeing
  • Develop and support senior leaders and Heads of School
  • Work collaboratively with central teams on compliance, staffing and quality assurance
  • Maintain strong relationships with commissioners and stakeholders
Essential Requirements
  • QTS/QTLS (or equivalent)
  • Successful Headteacher, Principal or Senior Leadership experience
  • Strong SEN and specialist education background
  • Proven track record of improving outcomes and standards
  • Experience leading teams and managing operational performance
  • Strong understanding of OFSTED and Independent School Standards
  • Exceptional safeguarding knowledge and leadership skills
  • Ability to travel regularly across Greater Manchester
Desirable
  • NPQH, NPQEL or equivalent
  • Multi-site, MAT or federation leadership experience
  • Experience working with Local Authorities and commissioners
