Job Overview
Teaching Assistant Level3, Early Years, Primary School based in Chorlton, M21. Full time — Monday through Friday, 08:30 to 15:30 during term time only. The school — a two‑form entry primary school — is partnering with Aspire People to find a motivated Level3 Teaching Assistant for its EYFS team as soon as possible. The role will support a Reception class and help pupils in the early stages of their education.
Responsibilities- Have a good working knowledge of the EYFS framework and support child development inline with the key areas.
- Be confident with the basics of phonics delivery, supporting early key development with pupils.
- Work closely with the class teacher to ensure all pupils have access to a rich and engaging learning experience.
- Support children with SEND or potential identified needs by helping them overcome barriers to learning, adapting strategies and modifying resources.
- Create a nurturing and positive environment that ensures children feel welcomed and safe.
- Holds a Level3 qualification in Early Years, Teaching & Learning or equivalent.
- Has experience working within an early years or primary school setting (paid, voluntary or on placement).
- Is passionate about working with children in a proactive and engaging manner.
- Is proactive and ready to "get stuck in" to ensure pupils receive the highest level of support to help them thrive.
The school is a 2‑form entry community primary school situated in the M21 Chorlton area. It is close to tram links and has a strong bus network in the locality. Parking is available on site for drivers. The Early Years team is well established and works well together to provide the best provision for the pupils in their care.
