Role Overview
Total People are looking to recruit an Automotive Learning Coach on a permanent, full‑time (37 hours per week) basis, based in Wythenshawe with travel to employers in the North West.
The role involves delivering Apprenticeship standards (and other programmes as applicable) in line with customer requirements, quality standards and pre‑determined targets, to a caseload of learners. The coach ensures a high quality learning programme in terms of content, structure and learning support, and delivers consistently good or better learning outcomes and progress by employing an effective variety of learning methods, skills development, coaching and mentoring with a self‑motivated and proactive approach.
Responsibilities- Manage and maintain a caseload of learners as agreed with your line manager and carry out regular learner interventions.
- Ensure evidence for learning, achievement, funding and Ofsted is captured effectively and timely, including meeting 20% OJT requirements and recording as per procedure.
- Assist learners to achieve the highest grade in EPA possible and progress individually, including Maths and English.
- Engage learner line managers, clarify responsibilities, and work collaboratively to provide support, guidance and learning opportunities.
- Plan the end‑point assessment process with learners and employers, ensuring preparation and practice is included in the learning plan.
- Inspire, motivate and identify barriers for learners, adapting to their needs to drive qualification attainment on time.
- Deliver Maths, English and ICT (where applicable) support, ensuring accurate marking and feedback.
- Work closely with IQAs on best practice, development needs, and provide sampling and monitoring as detailed in the IQA plan.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with employers, ensuring progression and new leads are generated.
- Produce accurate and timely reports as agreed with your line manager based on your KPIs.
- Contribute to the production of high‑quality learning materials.
- Live the values of the Group through positive behaviours and attitude.
- Relevant occupational sector experience and relevant qualifications, and/or current updated CPD.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Experience of coaching to support learning.
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload.
- Coaching skills that meet learner needs and deliver high‑quality, effective coaching.
- Strong focus on audience to support learning and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and a track record in developing robust, effective, prioritised plans that achieve KPIs and strategic aims.
- Proactive performance and engagement driving performance and engagement.
- Ability to present Total People in a positive manner, persuading and influencing where necessary.
- Continuous improvement mindset, seeking to improve processes and embed changes.
- Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths – or willingness to work towards Level 4 Qualifications.
- Teaching and Assessing qualifications.
- ICT or equivalent.
- Current updated CPD.
